Just wondering if anyone has been able to generate instances from the plugin? :?:
I see in the render options that there is a check box under the Generic menu, but
it does not render the instances.

Is this something that will be in 2.6 plugin?

How are you creating your instances?

The checkbox in the render options panel controls if clones are exported as instances or copies. The other option is to use a MaxwellInstancer custom object. This plug-in can be used in 3 modes:
  • Attach it to a null. The plug-in will create an instance of the specified object at the location of the null
  • Attach it to a mesh and set the spawn mode to "geometry". The plug-in will create an instance of the specified object on each face of the mesh. The distribution can be controlled with a percentage or a weight map. There are various orientation and randomization options in the settings panel.
  • Attach it to a mesh which also contains a particle system. The plug-in will create an instance of the specified mesh at the location of each particle.
