Hi JD and Juan

I have asked this question before for version 1.

When exporting from Solidworks to studio via "save as" assemblyname.mxi

I have found that the sub assembles are not recognized when i open in studio.

Meaning they are all individually listed and not Grouped together under an assembly name or expandable folder (yellow ball). It looks like they are listed but in specific order from the what is observed from the solidworks assembly

Other assemblies I save and import have the associated file structure with them ?

Is there something that i am missing or doing wrong?

the only thing that I can think of that is that I am now using swx 2009 with Sp 0.0 where as on my other machine I may have had and update on it ? could this be it ?

I just did a test and that may have been the problem ( i re saved another file that had been working before and now has the same issue)

I cant confirm yet as my other comp is unavailable ( under my desk)

I will install s.p update and see

or can you confirm?

Thanks

What do you have set in the Output tab, under Export? If Use Hierarchy is not enabled, then the assembly will be exported as a flat object list, as shown in your screenshot.

It's in the plugin's Scene Manager window - either look near the top of the Task Pane's Maxwell tab, or click main menu > Maxwell > Scene Manager. By default, Output is the 6th tab (the second to the last one).
