hello JD...maybe you can help here. I have advanced model in Studio, and let's say I want to replace floor tiles..by importing new mxs floor created in Sketchup.I can do that by using"Replace the old one" option and by using "Replace the old one" and "Overwrite all parameters" options,
but obviously it replaces whole model....while I just want one face to be replaced (floor)....I have tried so many combinations...but it would not replace floor...only by overwriting whole model with that new floor..
I'm sure there is combination to do that....more elegant way would be to delete (remove ) floor and replace it with new mxs -just floor object -created in Skp...but I am quite fresh in Studio and can not work out how to delete parts of geometry (triangles ?) in Studio.
...thank you
tony

You cannot replace only some triangles of a mesh in Studio, so the solution is in changing how you create the model in SketchUp: your floor needs to be in its own group in SketchUp, so that it gets its own object in the MXS file.

Such an obvious thing....making groups in Sketchup solves the problem..I used to explode whole model before taking it into Studio , and could not remove parts later.......spent hours trying to work it out....thanks a lot...t
