I just noticed that when using the parallel view, the sketchup lines do not match the rendered image.
Is there a way around this?

I solved by faking a parallel view by using a 1,000mm field of view, but still not a true parallel... :(

No, there is no way around it. Technically, when you use a parallel view in SketchUp, the Maxwell camera that gets created by the plugin is still a real 3D camera (that's all there is in Maxwell), but the plugin does a little math to translate it back from the objective far enough to let a 1° FOV correspond closely with the parallel view being shown in SketchUp.
