Maxwell Render

Hi

This is not so much a problem as a question:

I tried exporting the stock alfa romeo that comes as an asset with Modo.

It has a few polys that are textured with emissive materials

When the model gets exported to Modo, the emissive materials get translated into Maxwell emitters

Unfortunately, since it all one mesh Maxwell does not seem to let you render objects with some triangle groups that contain emitters and some that do not.

Any workarounds? Obviously, I breakout the geometry in Modo and export it separately I guess

Hello Adam,

Yes, unfortunately emitter separation is the only workaround. Maxwell doesn't like emitter materials and non-emissive materials inside the same object, and the plugin doesn't do automatic separation.
