Hi Everyone,

First time poster.

I wish it was on a more positive note, but here goes anyway.

Has anyone experienced this behaviour? When I add an maxwell environment to my scene all I get is this (see image)
No matter what adjustments i make, it's stays yellow. When I export the scene into studio its fine!
I've never experienced this in Maxwell 2.5.

Any help much appreciated.

Regards

Ray

Don't put your camera ON the sun! :P There now your first post is positive ;)

What happens if you by chance turn off the sun and/or use sky dome instead?
And welcome btw ;)

 Thanks for the welcome.

Skydome is fine. IBL is fine. Turning off the sun makes no difference.
I've made sure Modo/Maxwell and plugins are up to date.
Its bizarre and rather annoying to say the least.
Trying various Exposure presets returns the same result.

:(

P.S I'm MAC based. Shouldn't change the outcome though.

Hi Ray,

I can understand you frustration, I have never seen this before.

Do you use the modo 32 bit carbon version, or modo 64 bit cocoa version?

Anyway this should not happen, but I can't see now where is the problem. Please try to play with the Maxwell Environment item parameters. Is it possible somehow to bring it back to normal work (without turning off the Maxwell Environment item)?

Edit:
After a new plugin release if something goes off it is always worth to try what happens with a new modo main config file. It can happen (especially under OSX) that modo doesn't refresh this file correctly. So you can temporarily remove this file, or rename it -but be careful, if you have important settings in this file you will need this file later!
This is the location of the file:
/Users/<user name>/Library/Preferences/com.luxology.modo501

Next time you run modo it will create a new file with fresh settings. Hopefully it will work with the new config file.

Hi Marton,

That did the trick.
I assumed it was a Maxwell issue.
I broke my own rule.
Never assume anything as it makes an 'ass' of 'u' and 'me'.

Thanks for your help Marton, keep up the good work.

Ray
