Why not let the linux users beta test the 64bit version now?

It would make sense to find all bugs before such a release wouldn't it? Besides, it would be a nice thing to do since the linux users have waited so long to begin with.

At least give more users a way into the testing.

Hi :)

Thanks for your offer.

We have already people testing that, and also a couple of companies doing the same. We would be glad to make a public testing program but there is an inconvenience: We are not testing 1.1 but 1.2 which has confidential features that will not be revealed yet. However we will consider your offer seriously.

Kind regards,

Juan

ok Juan fair enough. I understand that since its 1.2 you can't have an open beta prgram, but if you ever need any help testing we are willing to help. With that in mind maybe if it s not ready when the windows version is release we can have a beta.
I am also wondering if we are also going to get studio on linux or just the plugin because as far as I know the only plugin that you would need in Linux is the Maya one. I just order my Maya 64 for Linux so I probably won;t need it, but I am just wondering.

... I don't have any Maya around but only obj, dxf...
so I really hope we get studio (beta? enough for me)...

Thanks for the reply Juan.

Is it possible to get an answer to the above questions too. I know for my setup Studio will be a must.

Thanks again.

Hi again,

Really thanks for your understanding :).

We will release it for public testing if this is not ready when Win/Mac are, but trully we are doing our best to have it all at the same time.

Our plans are releasing both Maya plugin (with the same features that win/osx versions) and also Studio. And who knows...a blender plugin might be cool in the future. (by the way if any of you want to do that, just pm me ;) )

Juan

I agree, feels really nice to get some information. Does not need to be
release dates or promises, just some updates on current state, keeping us
informed on some of your plans and let us know that you are still there
fighting for us =)
