Hi,

I've installed a clean W7 x64 on my new SSD disk and would like to know what antivirus do you recommend me?, I've been reading a few reviews at PCMag, but I would like to know what do you guys think it's the best. Also, do you think installing a free antivirus like AVG free is a good choice?

You can check some recent tests by the 'big guys' like AV-test.
They just recently tested Win8; the one for Win7 (Home users) is couple of months old:

I, personally, been using Nod32 (just AntiVirus) for ~5 years now without any serious problems {touch wood}.
Used Kaspersky before, but switched after I got my old machine BADLY infected + it was pretty heavy on resources back then;

Yeah, and I would avoid using MS Essentials - it totally went down the hill just in just a year or so

I use Avast mostly. Also had no problems yet, although it wants you to install some useless/annoying stuff. Just have to pay some attention when installing.
