Name: Ricardo Amaral
Age: 37
From: São Paulo, Brazil
Family: Wife, the jewel of the crown.
Worked with 3d: 1990 - Microstation 3, EMS and IGDS: running cad from the mainframe on dumb graphic terminals.
Worked with Photorealism: 1990 - Modelview, some Intergraph stuff.
Why: Internship from engineering school, the other choice was Hamburg Süd. It's funny how a single decison can change your life - I could be accounting for containers and sea time now, but I defnetly wanted to do this - was so edge stuff here in Brazil that time! I then drifted into CD-ROM authoring and web development, it lasted until the NASDAQ burst in 2000. I was a darn web-server & oracle DB jockey - it's a nightmare! After that I digged my way back into origins.

Name: Joshua Newman (aka: Lingling)
Age: 33
From: Born in Canberra Australia, lived Melbourne for the university years, now in I'm in London UK
Family: The most wonderful girlfriend, she's French (that's not the best part about her!)
Worked with 3D: self taught from 3dsR2 in the dark ages, I'll always remember the difficulty working out how to put maps on materials when max1 came out.
Worked with Photorealism: I don't believe in it, it's all about interpretation
Why: The challenge and the satisfaction. I studied industrial design and now I'm an illustrator. I still miss the cerativity of design development.
