I´m having trouble with AGS materials. When I make a simple cube in FZ and render it using a preset AGS material everything seems ok.

However when I render a large scene I get opaque surfaces in my windows. When I copy just one window to a new file I get a correct result again and when I copy a portion of the model to a new model I get an error saying that there is a problem with no texture assigned to a certain object. When I replace this object it complains about the next one.

I have tried giving the window surfaces some thickness and tried triangulating these volumes, but still no luck.

Ideas anyone?

it may be related to this topic about the maxwell attributes.

i have made the experience that the whole maxwell attribut assignement and export to studio (or renderer) is a little messy. it is quite common that assignments are dropped.

OK, after struggling with this a whole afternoon this is my conclusion:

Assigning a preset material (AGS in this case -don´t know if it is a general issue) in FZ for single objects works fine. If you attempt to copy this object or assign the material to other objects using the Get / set function in the maxwell pallette it doesn´t work.

If you join the objects (setting the "Single object" option under the "New object status") in FZ before attempting the export to Maxwell things again work fine. And also the export is VERY much quicker.
