I really needs to be!

Love it, but the wait can be painful. Is this to become a thing of the past?

the wait can be painful only if you rely in one product, I don't. Maxwell did not give me the luxury of doing so. I really hope they win me buck with V2.

The question is why should any one choose Maxwell over Vray or even MentalRay when you can get as "Photoreal" results in a fraction of the time Maxwell does it.

.Why The Slowest Render on earth, does fail in terms of Network Rendering? Is the current solution what you call sophisticated?
.Why a small product like Maxwell Studio has sirius stability issues?
.Why "THE LIGHT SIMULATOR" does not support IES etc.?
.
.
.
oh and WHY THE DEVELOPERS DO NOT GET INVOLVED HERE?

I think most of you know I have not even touch the surface here.

That argument is for a different thread than this I believe.

I think we should have an optimistic conversation for once! :D

Back to version 2 now...

Well ... those are all valid questions, as far as I'm concerned. I suggest you do as I plan on doing: try V2 before you upgrade. If, say, the Studio's stability's problems are still there, then I think it's time to move on. I'd rather not, as switching to another app will be more costly than upgrading, but there's only so much lackluster development I am prepared to take.

I'll be optmistic when there's a reason to. 8)

I know what you saying BUT Optimism Does not put food on the table. I hate it when I or my employees use Software stability as an excuse not to face deadlines.

And yes Maxwell is an interesting product but as it stands now you have to become a Nerd for the shake of having the light going through glass or rendering some stupid grass...No thank You.

also I apologize if you think I highjack the thread but it was a question to the NLL Team.

No apologies needed. I just wanted to keep the thread on a lighter/happier level for once.

I agree with some of your issues, but let's start a new thread for that.

I'm excited about the touted speed up for sure!

I do hope they offer existing users a good deal to upgrade in this economic climate! Maybe those that bought in at the beta stage and haven't called in additional license can get an even better deal.

Not to be down about it but if I got paid for all the help I've given new users on the PPB and SU forums I'd be on NL staff by now!

Hopefully I can afford the upgrade and keep up the help on a new platform.

NL bring it on!!!!!!!!!!

They say that in the coming weeks and months more news will be revealed. It makes it difficult to project a possible releasedate, but since they included months it's probably more than 6 months away. 9 months maybe.. ?

I wonder if the new logo is supposed to make it faster... :D
