Thanks! The light source is an object emitter in the shape of a thin filament (no IES). The bulb is glass. The reflecting cone is a very shiny plastic. Lens is AGS. Tried to model everything as close to reality as possible.

BTW, Realflow has an excellent rigid and soft body engine.

Really liked the stills you posted, but it looks even better in motion. :D Good work.

Very nice job, Brian!
Just one more thing for your 'to do' list:
when flashlight hits the ground, it flickers; (at least that's what flashlights do in the horror movies :D ); but that might give even more realism to your scene.

Cool!

Does the quality of the motion depend on the density of the mesh? I guess it is a very dense mesh, right?

It's not too dense, but yes, you will get better ripples with a dense mesh at a cost of simulation time. Here's the wire:

Yet another small animation test. The geometry is all very low poly so I could get a quicker simulation and renders. Mainly I am trying to get the interaction of the Realwave and the boat looking good. Suggestions welcome.

hey Brian... ok let's sing..

he he.. Maxwell & Realflow is the perfect combo...

I'm Popeye the Sailor Man. I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.
I'm strong to the finich, cause I eats me spinach.
I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.

I'm one tough Gazookus, which hates all Palookas.
Wot ain't on the up and square.
I biffs 'em and buffs 'em and always out roughs 'em
but none of 'em gets nowhere.

If anyone dares to risk my "Fisk", It's "Boff" an' it's "Wham" un'erstan'?
So keep "Good Be-hav-or", That's your one life saver
With Popeye the Sailor Man.

I'm Popeye the Sailor Man, I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.
I'm strong to the finich, cause I eats me spinach.
I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.
