Not sure how I missed this originally. Great work! You've managed to render some really difficult sections perfectly - and the latest stuff improves on that even more. :)

Great !
Excellent job, and the progressive improvements are the best display of someone's capabilities.
Even better than getting it right at the first shot, as they show the capacity to handle flaws and issues and to correct them properly.

Only one thing: I will never give you my camera!
I was a Nikon user, F2, F4 and Nikonos V. They deserve "more respect" than shown here ... tsk, tsk, tsk...
:-)

sincere compliments !

Paolo

Thx Pavel59!
Yeah, my real one in fact is in better conditions, but only because I'm not a pro... I got some photos of bodies used by pros here... scratches everywhere, knobs missing.... :o

Agreed! Also, jojojoj has just given a master class on subtle/understated lighting. Is it just a strong light at right and a weak one at left?

Thank you all, you're really kind! I'll keep going :-)

@hatts: basically yes, but I added two weak fill lights for subtle highlights

edit: Here's a more uniform lighting of the front view version.

I'd like to thank you all for your kind words! I think I'll consider these images being finished renderwise and upload them with a minimum of postwork soon to finalize.
I've been working on this for a very long time and been doing hundreds of test renders. But mostly I'm grateful for your precious critiques pushing me further than what I had first been considering as final in the first post of this thread. It's well been worth the extra time :-)
