I never get tired of this stuff. Killer work 'One Trick' :P Just killer!

Thanks Luis! - but I'm still hoping to get some different stuff going soon.

Part of the issue for me is that I don't know the modeling side at all and my associate who does that part is still learning Max as well - so the pipeline is a little slow. I've been juggling the same bottle models around and playing with fluids partly because a) some of it is is hard to do photographically, but also b) because I can do it on my own while I wait for him to make me some more stuff :) (We've been busy with out 2D work as well, in his defence ;))

I bought a car model to play with Mental Ray when I first started all this in November - may switch to that soon.

In any case, I appreciate the feedback!

b

Thanks Tom, Hyltom, and Tea_Bag!

High praise from you Hyltom - I consider your work to be one of the highest watermarks here :)

Tea_Bag - your work is *definitely* good enough to have a gallery thread. Get it going!

Actually, I think it a good idea --- such a stressful pursuit this business of SL's.

Brett, you are a master. Finally got around to downloading your beer material to work on a piece for my friend (she's a beer fiend) and I just don't get near the results you do.

If it doesn't require revealing too many of your secrets, would you mind showing us a little of your lighting set-up and post work that you do? Most of my work is in ArchViz and I don't have the experience with product shots.

For which one in particular? The brown bottle material?

I can get the material to look correct, not a problem there. I was thinking more of your composition, lighting, and post-work of your product shots.

Like on the most recent one, do you use yellow lights, are there accent and fill lights, is the tone achieved in Photoshop. Help a newbie out.

I am happy to give you some help. but right now I am sort of buried in a 2D job. When I have a chance I'll start a separate thread for it and I will PM you to let you know.
