Hi All,
I've finally bit the bullet and started using network rendering (as opposed to carry my MXS to several machines and render them locally there), and I'm VERY impressed.
My only gripe at this point is that the process of adding a render to the cue is somewhat time consuming and error prone...
When I have a batch of MXS files to render locally I create a batch file with all the instructions, a typical line of which looks like:
mxcl.exe -mxs:Pr4.mxs -t:75 -s:11 -res:1000x667 -nowait -mxi:Pr4.mxi -o:Pr4.jpg
The great thing is I usually have 4-5 renders to do - I run the batch with small resolution and sample level, check that everything is OK, then just tweak the batch file to run at full res and final SL.
Can anyone thing of a batch way of submitting files to the render cue when in network render mode? This would save a huge amount of time, and some operator errors...
Cheers,
Tom
