Is there a way to assign permanent names to nodes, so I can identify which machine is which node in Maxwell Monitor? I would like to be able to name a machine "render box 1" and be able to see it in Maxwell Monitor as "render box 1".

the monitor normally displays the name of the connected node.
If you want to change this name you need to do this in the system settings of the connected computer.
