how does the studio/mxl handle the network paths/names between mac and pc?

we are sending co-op renders from OSX 10.7.4 to 10 windows 7 render nodes (running maxwell 2.6.1).

the network rendering is working to a point.
files are rendering but not to the location saved.
we are finding the merged file in the temp folder of the manager.
see attached image for error message in orange lettering.

when submitting the render, we are allowing maxwell to convert the path

I noticed when trying to resume a completed render (see text in red of the first attached image) it shows a different network path to the converted path of the submission window. The resume render is also failing.

What network path should we be using?

So Manager is running on OSX? The important thing for saving the final MXI is that Manager can save the files so if it's running on OSX I think it's safest to enter local paths to the computer that's running the Manager and ignore the path conversion dialog.
