with this Lw plugin i spend equal or more time in trying to understand why layout has crashed while rendering with maxwell than tuning textures and other setting of my drawing.. thats is indecent....
i hope the new lw plugin will be as efficient AND, what counts more, STABLEa s the one for max ... i used MAX PLUGIN and it is rather stable...

As I was so enthousiastic about Maxwell in the beginning, I'm as disappointed now. Since I'm working on a Mac with Lightwave 9, I can't do anything decent with Maxwell.

As a Lightwave user, I would like to be treated the same way (with updates and stability, that is), as max-users!!!

Yay! I like MaxwellRender, even with the current plug-in -- but I think I will like it more soon. ;)

Thanks Hervé. I understand you have a lot of work and you can't always please everyone... but I must admit I have my doubts about your micro-wave ovens... (remember... "the plug-in is in the oven"?)

Greetz,
hoping to post some very enthousiastic feelings in the very near future...

Now i'm not a LW user at all but i do think the LW guys and girls if any deserve to get some sorta treatment until their plugin is ready for release, give them some screenshots and some bones to chew on while they wait. You can do that can't you Hervé ? :) these guys waited for so long now for something. They been very very patient and i admire their patience.

But it sure is great to hear testing will start tomorrow on the new plugin even tho i thought testing been going on for the past months on the plugin. So.. let me get this right, only recently work been done on the LW plugin as you're gonna test it now. What been done on it earlier ?!

well, they had to remake the LW plugin from Scratch... and for the LW'ers benefit... because then, only then, it will be like the maya or 3DS max ones..

I won't need months to test it.. besides, I am not alone..

all good Max.. I'll post a screen grab as soon as I can... ok..?

Cheers

Good good Hervé, now that does sound better :) thanks for the clatification for us all. It helps to know why it's a bit late and why it been so silent.

Personally i'm pretty interested to see to which heights the new LW plugin been taken :) hell i'm as excited as any LW user is now hehe

Thanks again and keep up the good job guys.

/ Max

Good news, Hervé.

I wonder if the implementation of simple planar, cubic, cylindrical and sherical mapping will be improved so that we don't have to apply a UV map for walls, ceilings etc.?

Could you tell us something about that? Thank you very much, Hervé :D
