This probably has a quick answer, basically, I'd like a flattened image (jpeg/png/whatever) exported out at each SL. I was going to use the progressive_animation script, but I needed to tweak it slightly so it would save a new, unique jpeg at each SL level (so it won't write over the previous iteration)

Thanks!

I dont know about the script thingy, but you could do it manually as it renders.

i would like to have this not only for an image file but especially for the mxi.
It would be great to have a backup function that copies the mxi in a given time or sl interval to a backup folder (and maybe add node name and the sl to the file name).
I' m now doing this manually because you never know if a mxi gets overwritten in the moment you start to copy it with a script... but with some more nodes and overnight renderings this is really no good option.

I dont really understand why you want to back-up the mxi's?

You can save mxi increments through the network wizard:

Is that what you are looking for?

Yes, I believe it's new for 2.6.1. It will save out a MXI file at the specified SL levels. Useful for doing compositing work while renders are ongoing.

ok, upgraded now, but FYI, it doesn't save incrementally, it overwrites the existing file, which isn't exactly what I'm looking for. Sure, it automates the progressive rendering process now (especially in coop renderings), but I'm looking for images or MXI's at each SL (mainly for demonstration purposes)
