Hi Juan,

Hope things are going well. Are there going to be any updates or announcements in the near future regarding the FormZ plugin? It would be great to get some news.

Cheers,

Nik

Hi Nik,

There will be a new announcement this week and inside you will see info about the plugins. There will be a major update of the plugin with the final release, with new features that can not be shown yet (just wait a couple of days).
About the mac version, I give the 80% of the time I work in the plugin to the mac version looking for provide the same functionality that the windows version has. There is a known issue in the mac plugin with the conversion of old materials that generates black textures in some cases. It can be solved deleting the bsdf into Studio and craeting a new one. It will be solved for the next release.

Sorry because I can not post too much now, but be sure I read all your reports and complains looking to fix it all. The time I am posting I am not fixing..

Regards,

Juan

Hi Juan,

Thanks for taking the time out for an update, it really is appreciated. Fixing the black texture problem in OSX will be a huge leap forward (for me anyway!). Can't wait to see what you've all been working on.

Thanks again,

Nik

Juan, you are great!
Probably you are the only one I still appreciate at NL.
And I'm sorry to say this. :(

Ciao, Jo

Hi Juan,

Thanks for the acknowlegement of the texture problem for mac. I was quite excited about your tip of solving the blackout through deleting bsdf. So I tried and... still black. I am really afraid, that this bug will remain for a long time still. The weirdest thing is, that sometimes I change some settings in formZ (like adding bumps etc.), then a textured object renders correctly. But the next time I render, the same object turns black again, although I didn't change anything in formZ. But I mentioned that before to you, but didn't receive an answer, sigh...

Hopefully this thing will be stabilized one day...

Hi uki,

Deleting (into Studio) the basic of the material which is rendered without textures and creating a new one has worked fine always in our systems, we will continue investigating it trying to reproduce your behaviour, looking to fix it for the next update.

Regards,

Juan
