So, just to clarify. the Blitz means one image for $10 right? not unlimited test renders within the same "project" for $10?

Yes (in fact two images, the render + the render auto-denoised  ).

Hi.

I've sent an e-mail to your contact address a few days ago. But I haven't received an answer. So I try it this way.
If you are not in holidays, would you please try to find that e-mail and write back? If you don't find it I'll send it again.

Thx.

Do you know when we will see 1.6 on the farm?

I really want to move to 1.6 but don't want to be without the convenience of the Ranch. 8) 8)

Hi Matthew,

yes we will support 1.6 as soon as possible. How soon is soon? Well before the end of the week if all goes well.

And I have another thing which should interest you. From next monday (december 3) to sunday december 9 included, each Maxwell project run with the standard pay per project formula will get a 50% discount! It's Christmas before Christmas in a way :D

So for an entire week, it will be half-price at the RANCH: $0.25 / 0.17 € per GHz per hour, don't miss it!

Fred

Yes no problem, we prefer to let everyone know in advance in any case (now you can't say we're greedy  )

Hi,

just a word of warning: we had several crashes with 1.6 that never occurred before with 1.5. The problem seems to happen with some scenes saved with 1.6 and sent by our customers. mxcl.exe reads the scene correctly and then crashes immediately after the "Loading Bitmaps & Preprocessing Data" phase.

Scenes saved with 1.5 never crash.

So, until this issue is cleared/fixed with Next Limit (it had to happen during the week-end...), if you have scenes to send to the RANCH, please try to save them with 1.5 to avoid potential problems.

Thanks

Fred

Hi everyone,

I have good news, the problem I wrote about in the post just above has been corrected (FYI it was related to TIFF image reading in 64-bit mode). So you can now send scenes saved with 1.6 and they should render well.

Cheers

Fred
