Thought I'd open a gallery - humble beginnings in these quarters!

nice work, love the closeup of the flower.

Are the lights in the empty office (above the pig) fully modelled? i.e. are they tube shaped emitters and reflective baffles? If so are the render times very high? Love the floor material by the way!

they are sort of fully modelled - been an area of great interest to me optimising between simplistic emitters and fully modelled lights. In this instance they are 3 sided cylinders in a fully modelled relector. no intersections of course. Took a day to clear up at 3000x2000 on an 8core machine.

deflix - thanks for the tip. Not too bad render times either.

The blue sky render is especially realistic. Very nice. I agree with Bubbaloo: great start!

Great and clean renders!

I know, it's been mentioned many times, and yes, it's been said many times, that it is a problem every render engine shows... :
the old and mighty shadow problem when using bump maps:

But: Is it just me or why does it seem that Maxwell is the one that shows the consequences of that render problem in the most drastic manner...?

All that it requires is a more heavily subdivided curve topology.
