I'm having a problem with my Orange Juice, it is directly from the wizard under sss. I am not very familiar with the new attributes of the sss materials, is there anyone that can lead me to a reasonable conclusion?

Thanks
Dan

If sunlight is on that will never clear. My guess is the calculations are too intense for sunlight+glass+sss

here is a test render with physical sun and image based lighting off, and only mxi based emitters on.

Did you try with just a standard plane made of one polygon and and an emitter material?

Notice how the OJ in Thomas image goes all the way to the edge of the glass. Yours does not. It looks like he used the standard liquid in glass modelling technique that he discovered in this thread. http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/view ... hp?t=17147

Try modelling your OJ inside an enclosed glass volume and see if that helps any.

Eric, wow .... light propagation... that is pretty intense, my only issue is that my liquid is smaller that the inside of it's container. if i do not do this then i end up with triangles appearing in the liquid. so then the whole behavior of a ray of light would be changed be cause light would travel air>glass>air>liquid>air>Glass>air instead of
air>glass>liquid>glass>air.

any ideas
