2.0 is on the way! Finally it is official. Now I just have to prepare my speech to my boss as to why we need to upgrade...

Interesting news that 2.0 is on the horizon.. i was not expecting that, at best a 1.8 release is what i thought we might get. And a 1.9..

Bubba: Hehe, hold off on your speechwriting until you know what this new thingy delivers. :)

NL: What happend to 1.8 and 1.9 ?

/ Max

 Now they've done it!

WE WANT DETAILS!
FEATURES
SURPRISES
SPEED INCREASE DETAILS

It is your obligation, NL to divulge this information. No, your duty! Well, not really, but it is my duty to ask for these things...

And please for version 2.0, on the name for all that is holy...

A working 64 bit version for Mac OSX!!

That is really my ONLY gripe! I can live with all other issues!

/end of rant of a mac fan

Good argument jc4d.

But i also assume thats the argument Nextlimit follow.
It's not easy in this times.
The competition is hard.

Therefore a reasonable step to go for 2.0 and miss 1.8 and 1.9.
There is a crew whom need food.
Don't forget.

If i recall correct, there was 1.1, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7 published for free available for custom user.

So, i understand that step.
But i hope Nextlimit will include major improvements in the following upgrade to make sure this is not just a money maker.

Martin

I think its great to finally hear something official eventhough the tip of the iceberg really is (im sorry but I'm honest) one of the last features that would interest me. Other than that I can't wait what the rest of the iceberg is, and I hope there's more to it.

But since we all know NL is better than randomcontrol what is there to be scared of 8)

Me too.

I have 12nodes for my only one computer.

BTW,

when I saw the comments about 2.0, I've checked it with joy.

but [We are working on version 2 of Maxwell Render which will be better, faster and even easier to use. ] is all. :(
