All I can say is Maxwell is my main rendering engine. But if Form-Z ever gets a V-Ray plug-in, I am buying it.

I like options.

You're quite wrong here. Take a look at Rembrandt's "Nachtwacht" (specifically the hands), and his late self-portraits. Then take a look at the paintings of Chuck Close, Philip Pearlstein et al. Hyperrealism treats every single detail equally, thus doing away with pictorial hierarchy. Rembrandt did the opposite.

Er, sorry, I'm a nerd. :mrgreen:

Very good point and well articulated, Rembrandt/Frans Hals gave the illusion of hyperrealism using artistic discretion.
