I've completed 21 materials but the file size stands currently at 850mb! distributing these materials will be challenging as I don't really want to do a dvd at this stage just downloadable! what you guys think!?

850mb is huge! wow, maybe you can distribute them one by one or in packages of five in each to spread the load a bit on the server. Then encrypt the packages or individual files and email out a key to those who purchase it so they can unlock the stuff they bought.

Tea_bag: Do you add one texture for bump, one for refl. 0° and one for Refl. 90° or do you use the internal texture editor and just load one texture per material?
I think 850MB is far too big. probably some application won't load these high res textures..

A good texture pack will include multiple maps per material. Not all rendering apps have the image editing features of Maxwell. I would expect diffuse, specular/roughness, bump/normal/displacement, possibly alpha/opacity depending on the material. You want to market to any and all customers, not only Maxwell, right?

When I buy a texture, I want it to be as big and detailed as possible. If necessary, I can decide to reduce these to suit my needs.

@Max - Hey Max I will upload some more pics in a minute  :)

@macray - I'm not using the internal texture editor built within maxwell. Separate maps are used for each channel - bump, diffuse, spec (roughness too) and in some cases displacement where needed.

@Brian - Yip will be selling the textures separately to allow all customers to buy these textures and then a second pack incl materials for the maxwell V2 users! (V1 users would need to buy the texture only pack) :)

The textures are large in file size but the quality and detail wont disappoint! - I would estimate that once all textures are made we'll be looking at a total size of prob 1.5GB to 2GB (maybe more) yes its alot but with today's broadband connections and download speeds its nothing! :)

Also this will consist of roughly 120 total textures if each Material had a diffuse, bump and spec (as said before some materials will have extra maps where needed)

Like Brian said these textures can be reduce by you to suit your needs :)
