Hi,

I just installed the last Maxwell plugin (29-10-09) for Modo 401 (Mac version). I have Snow Leopard OS.
After installed when I launch Modo, ask me to allow modo.app the outside connections.
Before install Maxwell only appears this message when you install first time Modo.

I check again in firewall preferences and I add again modo.app, maxwell studio app and maxwell app but still the message when I launch modo.

Thank you for your help.
Best.

It sounds like it's the builtin update check, it needs to access the downloadservers to look for new updates. And if there are multiple servers one firewall entry might not be enough. Try making some adjustments to your firewall entry and/or settings and see if you can resolve it that way.

Hi Max,

Thank you for your reply. I tried all adjustments in my firewall and update check but is not working. Before install the Maxwell plugin Modo was not asking the connections permissions.
Best.

Hello,

I don't understand what happens. The plug-in doesn't start any communication with the network, so firewall shouldn't go mad.

Hi Marton,

Now and after reinstall 3 times on the G5 I don't have the message.
Now I have the message in my laptop MacBook pro.

I agree is very strange and I don't understand why. Both computers have same configuration.
Also when you star modo maxwell in menu bar is before Window. When you click first time on maxwell menu the tittle go to the end of the bar.

I will try to let you know why I have this problem.

Best,

Ok, please let me know if something new happens.

What does it mean that ".... maxwell in menu bar is before Window" ?

Thanks for the screen caps, and please do a little test for me.

Change your modo layout to Render layout (I mean the tabbed layouts) -> exit modo -> and start it again. Is it the same?
