Hello !

I'm facing a weird problem: i import an object with nurbs from Rhino to maxwell. In maxwell, the mesh is smoothed and renders nicely. Good.
But now, i have to do a small animation of my camera around the object. So, i export everything to my favorite apps in obj format. In LightWave, the object has Vertex Normal Maps and is well smoothed too. With native LW render, everything's ok.
The problem appears when i want to render with the Maxwell via the plugin: the mesh losts his smoothing informations, everything is faceted.

Is there an option to check somewhere ? Will I have to open the 250 frames of my animation and re-import my previous work manualy ?
Pas Glop.

I'm working with Mac, LW 9.6 and latest Plugin.

Fred.

Could you send me the LW scene and the OBJ file (mihnea.balta@gmail.com)? I couldn't replicate the problem here with some simple OBJ files I exported from Maya.

I got the scene, thanks. The plug-in doesn't support vertex normal maps since they didn't exist when the exporter part was written. We'll add support for them in the next version.

That's the reason why. Thanks. :(
I don't think the new version will arrive next week, so i'll have to import the camera 250 times. Outch.

Fortunately, it's just a 10 sec animation !
