When I cooperatively render, my jpegs have an error when I try to open them in an Adobe product. See error screen:

They open properly in picture manager, sketchbook pro, etc.
My work around is to open the file and "save as" to a tif and come back around in the Adobe product.
A hassle!

They must be PNG I believe. You can try renaming them to PNG and Photoshop will open them. I have experienced this issue too.
