Liz Ashley after Botticelli's Birth of Venus

It's on my new NSFW tumblr
http://digitalartform.tumblr.com/post/4 ... h-of-venus
rated 18+ for nudity

--------------

Birth of Venus is a bit of an overdone theme, but I noticed the Google Art Project and Wikipedia have an absolutely MASSIVE scan of it online for free - public domain - so I thought maybe I'd put my spin on it.

The wall, painting, frame, and weird clamshell ocean wave structures in front are all Maya / Maxwell / ZBrush

Being a big fan of the subject matter (I paint in egg tempera too) I personally like the theme and think it is a classic that cannot be overdone

Nice work, It looks very seamless between model and setting :D

Best,
Jason.

I usually use a matching Poser figure as an invisible shadow caster and diffuse reflector.
