Hi All,

I was gifted one of those by my wife. Some time ago she came to me and aske: Is that possible to see 3D images without 3D glasses? (We live in BR and the camera isn't avialable in stores to check)

My knowing answer was "No!, forget about it". She just ignored me and got it anyway. I'm glad she did. It's freaking amazing.

But now I have a problem. How am I supposed to put my MR images back into the machine to be viewed on it's display? (and on the 3D photo frame I will buy next time I visit the U.S.)

Fuji's desktop image libray is able to split and merge the MVO files, but will only do it if the pictures where taken by a Fuji camera.

Anyone has any idea on how I can skip this hurdle? Or any further background knowledge on stereo file formats?

TIA

Ricardo

That's great Ricardo, maybe it's possible to edit the EXIF data to fool the machine? or even the header data of the image?

I have tried pasting my images over original camera files. The exim info is istill the original fuji's but the system wasn't fooled.

Than it must be deeper in the image header :(
Could you try and place an original fuji image back from your pc, to see if that still works?
Maybe once removed it doesn't work anymore..

It's all happening in the PC, with the finepix studio 3d tools.

Opening an original fine in ultraedit and the pasted one I found some photoshop garbage.

I copied and pasted the begining of the original file in hex edit mode and was able to fool the 3d tool, but it is failing to save. There must be something else to fix down the header...

Anyone has a discovery kids level JPEG file format structure diagram. Google is not helping me today, I can't tell head from tail of anything I find.

This guy has it figured out :http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/stphmkr/index.html

Tiny download and makes all kinds of stereo files.

This is soooo cool.
