After seeing superbaka's terrific car interior renderings I was wondering if there was a software alternative to Nuke that would allow you to add film grain to your post?

Hey Jason, thanks for the tip... unfortunately I don't use Photoshop and it looks like this software does not have a stand alone version - only plug in for CS5. I am pretty happy with my post workflow... Gimp & Xara but now might have to consider photoshop

Hi CaryJames,

if your using windows you can test "Motiva RealCamera" which looks great :

i think the developper is on the forum

most "film effects" (vignetting, chromatic aberration, film noise, color shift) can be made with the tools of any 2d editing software, you can look in a search engine how they look and how to fake them, it can be fun and instructing !

If you are using windows it is also worth looking at Irfanview which can do quite alot including run many Photoshop plugins.

Best,
Jason.

I use Alien Skin Exposure for adding the film look to my renders. It's works as a standalone application as well as Photoshop/Lightroom plug-ins.
