Thanks Tok-Tok :)

It looks amazing!! Love the fluids!

Why did you switch to Glu 3D? I know you were using realflow because I asked about the
bubbles in the beer a few years back on the realflow forum ;)

I didn't switch to Glu, I switched from Glu, but that was a while ago - that's from an older post :)

Current images are not done with RF though. I have an older version of RF and it's limited to a couple of cores. It's great, but just not fast enough for what I'm doing right now. 2012 looks cool and has some features that look really interesting (foam and splashes look amazing), but the price is also a bit steep for me, so for now I'm experimenting a bit with Phoenix and doing sculpted liquids in Zbrush/3D Coat. Occasionally using Pwrapper as well, but not for these images, for these I just went the sculpting route.

Also posted another update on Pg1

Sorry I misread, I must have been looking more at your renders then reading the comment. Can you blame me ;)

So is the new orange visual sculped? Because it looks very good and realistic!

Thanks Aniki, but I'm a stills guy only :)

Just working stills eats a crazy amount of time, so I'll leave the motion stuff to those much better at it than I'll ever be!

I like these abstract images a lot. Is this 2.6 already? Again sculpted geometry?

well I think with your sophisticated knowledge on generating incredible stills, motion would be the next step ;)

just trying to help, as I am a "motion guy only" ;)

cheers

@Polyxo - these are 2.5. Just downloaded 2.6 last night. Looks like a pretty amazing update.

@Aniki: I understand, and appreciate it :) A lot of people think of still and animation as being logical steps for each other, but to me they are more lateral steps... I for one just "see" (creatively) in terms of stills. It's just the way my mind works best, so motion isn't really in the cards for me :)

Thanks Brian and djflod :) I thought the honey worked out quite well. It was part of a larger image for a cereal ad, but I really wanted to showcase some of the detail we got out of the models and materials.
