Will the existing one work for 601 or do you have one in the works?

Hello,

Modo 601 is new for me too, so I have to test it first. The main plugin modules should work, but there can be incompatibility issues I have to fix.

Hello Hervé,

I see problems with mxm items and maxwell environment item. Could you check it on your computer?

Thanks,

Márton

This happens to me as well, just installed 601 and once the programs started and you click on the mxm file in the shader tree it crashes. I will try to re install the plugin maybe that will help.

Wish the new fur material would work with 601 :D

UPDATE: re installing the plugin does not fix it.

Hi Marton, how are you?
Any news for the plugin? I saw on the modo modcast that they released the sdk wiki.
I really hope for hair and fur :)

The big modo plugin crashes under 601 should be fixed with the new modo ServicePack1 (I don't have release date info).
There are other compatibility thing, I will release a fix for those.

About hair and fur:
I am a bit confused about the export possibilities.... I always keep an eye on the issue but I haven't seen working solution yet, and I haven't found any info inside the SDK docs. I have asked Luxology many times and their answer is also not very clear...:(.

Dear Marton,

thanks for your reply! Hope you had and still have some happy relaxing Easter days.
The messages we get are a bit mixed, as Luxology says that fur can be accessed through SDK. I am far from beeing able to programm or read programming, so i can not tell be looking at the SDK Wiki, that is online:
http://sdk.luxology.com

Looking forward to have the crashes fixed with SP 1 for 601 and your compatibility fixes.
thanks for your work

Yesterday I have found other compatibility problems, but nothing what makes the plugin crash. Have you tried to clear your modo cfg file?

Sorry I was not clear. You shouldn't delete the main plugin config (If you reinstall the plugin it will create it for you again) but the modo config file:
users/..your user name.../Library/Preferences/com.luxology.modo601
(if you have important settings in it, just move it to another safe location)

It can help sometimes.....
