Im having a problem, in particular with rotation, where I cannot smoothly rotate my objects around without them jumping all over the place. It will go maybe 1 or 2 degrees, then jump to 30, then spin it all the way around. I can scrub the rotation with the numerical spinner in the object properties, but that is very slow.

Happens with my tablet pen and with the mouse.

Any idea what might cause that?

sorry - to clarify: it's not every object, but seems to be many if not most.

not only rotation... for me every object manipulation in studio is more a trial and error process... especially a controlled movement of cameras is nearly impossible.
I normally end up deleting the objects and re-import them with the new position.

...and i can't understand why the "wireframe" mode is more like a x-ray mode - you can only select the object on top - this is not wireframe and in most cases simply unusable. And then there are the funky instance selections... i think i still haven't understand the system - but i think this is another topic.

There is a problem rotating in the axis that's almost aligned to the current view, for example if you're trying to rotate in Y and the camera is almost horizontal. So just move the camera up a bit and rotate. I don't know about the translations because that works fine here, maybe because the pivot is far away, you can try clicking the center button in Object properties.

shot in the dark, but I've had a similar seeming (although not exactly the same) problem when I switched from a Nvidia 550 graphics card to an AMD Firepro 7900 a few months ago. Any chance you guys are using AMD cards and not Nvidia? I haven't use ATI cards in years because of previous problems with 3d viewports whenever I used the cards. 3d viewport was working fine in all programs for years until I tried using ATI again.
