What happens if you hide the real glass from GI? I think the dielectrics could be the trigger.

Already done it... It's not the problem.
Remember it works with 1 node
I have tried with downsizing and blurring the hdri... Noise seems to disapear, but in many cases it should not be an option.
For me now the problem is the way maxwell render handle the merging process with HDR lighting...
That's annoying.
But have to test with another hdri...
I'm using vhdri and aversis collection.
It works very Well on one node.

Ok that sounds interresting
I'm not as experienced as you, but does that mean that Maxwell have problem with merging and scene lightened with image in general ?

I use mxi emitters simply for TV or screen computer or ads, but I have one scene lightened with a big background plane mxi, but it's for my own work and i never use that scene with several nodes.
I try tomorrow to see if i can reproduce my problem and yours...

I usually work with real glass hidden from GI, but i'll try with AGS to see it changes concerning merging process.

I'm just ruling things out. Thinking aloud.

That's what I usually do too. Mxi emitters are not in my scenes very often though and this is not a usual problem for me.

It's happening again in another scene with the same mxi emitter.

The mxi was created from a jpg image in maxwell.exe.
