Maxwell Render

Hi,
I'm trying to get maxwell working with a crossover cable connecting 2 pc. On the pc that is just running as a node I'm getting this message from it to the network manager on the main pc in the maxwell manager
(receiving broadcast from node in port 56018 at address 169. etc etc) which is normal but it repeats this line every second forever.The node doesn''t show up in the maxwell monitor.
Weirdly it did work once , and when it did work it was perfect , previews were near instant as opposed to going through a hub, even the sl timing was better.More importantly I've also lost connection to a node when launching the internet on one of the machines through the hub.

So I really want it to work with the crossover cable . Any ideas/help?

windows 7 on both machines , and they can easily access and share files with each other outside of maxwell.


(FIXED)

I unistalled maxwell , which was an updated version not a clean install(2.6.0 to 2.6.1).Reinstalled as a full version everything is now working
