Ermm, hate to say this but if the colour for trans and scatt was similar.. i.e orange and yellow.. then this would work.

But if the colours are opposing theyre really cancelling each other out in many of these tests. hope that makes sense, ermm I'm not saying you should re-render all this.. either.

why doesn't this work? i'd really like to know why. otherwise i'm in the dark on this one and headed towards a dead end.
my assumption was that it worked the same way regardless of input. only the results varied.
