Educational licenses of Maxwell Render are available in two formats:
- Student licenses for students who can prove they are enrolled in a suitable course.
- Faculty licenses for either teachers to buy themselves, or for colleges or universities to buy on behalf of their students and teachers, or for the classroom.
Educational licenses are exclusively for learning and teaching purposes. Using an educational license for commercial purposes is not permitted, and educational licenses are not valid for government or commercial research, even if this is being done within an educational institution.
There are no technical differences between educational licenses and commercial licenses.
One educational license is valid for one machine, and there are no core restrictions. Educational licenses are not time limited, although it does not grant you free upgrades to new major versions of the software. When a new major version is released, you will need to buy again.

To purchase an educational license, please contact Next Limit directly, providing the following information:
- The filled-out application form
- A copy of your student/ faculty photo ID
- A copy of any other type of photo ID (passport, driving license, etc.)
