Version 2.0.27 Release Notes

Changes

  • The AGS wizard has been updated to match MXED.
  • Maxwell Render nodes (layers, emitters, BSDFs etc.) can be created from MAXScript.
  • "Use Max Instancing" is turned off by default.
  • A button has been added in the Render Globals panel which exports the scene and submits it to the Maxwell Render network system.
  • IES viewport preview works when 3dsMax is set to use DX10.

Fixes

  • Fixed: opening the global render options several times could cause the SimuLens rollup to be duplicated.
  • Fixed: RFRK objects were mirrored in the viewport compared to the render.
  • Fixed: devignetting was not exported correctly.
  • Fixed: coatings were not loaded correctly when importing an MXM file.
  • Fixed: displacement did not render if the first layer of the material was disabled.
  • Fixed: the viewport LOD control for the proxy object was broken.
  • Fixed: crash when copying a proxy object.
  • Fixed: viewport refresh problem when moving proxy objects.
  • Fixed: depth pass minimum and maximum values were swapped when the render globals panel was closed.
  • Fixed: proxy objects could not be created from the right-click menu when 3dsMax was set to use DX10.
  • Fixed: crash when using RFRK objects in 3dsMax 2010 64-bit.
  • Fixed: File > Export complained about no perspective viewport being found when 3dsMax was set to use DX10.
  • Fixed: the viewport representation for IES emitters did not inherit rotation from the object it was assigned to.
